Update your LinkedIn profile with a professional photo and a compelling summary. 

How to Update your LinkedIn profile

  1. Use your elevator pitch to draft a summary of your bio (If you don’t have an elevator pitch, click here to learn how to craft one from scratch)
  2. Take a professional picture. You will want to create the perfect gentleman/lady in your industry.
  3. Feature some relevant posts about your successes and achievements on your profile

How I Updated my LinkedIn Profile

I happen to have a couple of old(not so old) studio photos from my archives. I dug the one that portrays me as confident and ready to execute. And I updated my bio using the elevator pitch I drafted to tell my story excellently. People love stories. That’s why we have people reading a 700-page novel and not getting bored.

I used my bio to sell my story.  What I can do, where I started, and  where I am right now

I featured some posts about some events relevant to my field on my LinkedIn Profile

I added my work history to reflect how long I have put all this

Then I followed some relevant accounts in my industry.

My CV/Resume is not updated yet, so I’ll upload that when it is ready
